Solar Placard FAQs
When do I need an engraved placard instead of a printed label?
Engraved placards are the standard for permanent equipment identification, such as system disconnects, meter locations, and point-of-interconnection signage. Many utilities and AHJs specifically require engraved placards rather than printed labels in these locations. Check your local requirements, or ask us and we will point you to the right product.
Do you make utility-specific placards?
Yes. We stock LADWP-spec placards, and we can engrave custom wording to match your utility or AHJ requirements.
What about battery energy storage placards?

How are placards mounted?
All placards ship with premium 3M adhesive backing. For special components, request rivet holes for mechanical installation.
